I installed Manjaro 16.10.3 on a laptop. The core.db database was corrupt. Pamac updater was trying to handle that, creating hundreds of processes: (output from `ps ax`)
```
6300 ? Ss 0:00 echo -n Error: could not open file /var/lib/pacman/sync/core.db: Unrecognized archive format
After a while, another ps yielded the same processes shown as defunct.
As a result of this repeating multiple times, the fork limit has been exceeded, which caused a denial of service.https://gitlab.manjaro.org/applications/pamac/-/issues/74[feature request] Add confirmation dialog to remove db.lck2018-06-30T02:56:05ZPhilip Müller[feature request] Add confirmation dialog to remove db.lck*Created by: budimanjojo*
Sometimes the db.lck is not removed when you open up pamac without having another pacman session opens. It will be better if pamac asks the user if they want to delete it and warns the user to make sure there's not another pacman opened in background. More info about it can be read here: https://forum.manjaro.org/index.php?topic=23871
