Pamac upgrade -a cli stuck waiting for user input but without any notice/warning
Hello,
Every time I use the command «pamac upgrade -a» it gets stuck waiting for user input in the middle of the package list without any message/notice/warning.
If any of [e/s/N] keys (from es_ES locale) is pressed it completes the package list, shows the «apply? [e/s/N]» message/notice and acts as requested before in the middle of the package list (it acts as expected).
For clarification, I attach here two screen captures as I think is better than copy/paste in this situation:
In this first image you can see where pamac get stuck waiting for user input.
No message shown at the moment.
In this image you can see full package list and the request message for user input.
Look for the ‘n’ in the middle of the screen capture, in the «systemd-sysvcompat» line, that was my input and every character printed after that was printed after I input that character.
This is happening since I started to use pamac cli a couple of months ago, before that I was used to pacman cli.
Pamac is running in «terminator» terminal emulator https://discover.manjaro.org/applications/terminator
Thanks.
EDIT:
I've been suggested to test in different terminal emulator, I'll try with next update available.
Also is necessary to point that the command is an alias with tee
redirection:
alias pam-upgrade='pamac upgrade -a 2>&1 | tee -a "/home/$USER/.logs/pamac-upgrade_$(date +%Y-%m-%d_%H-%M-%S).log"'
EDIT AGAIN:
It is a tee issue as checked with help in this thread:
