App Gives Segmentation Fault Error when Searching for a Certain Term

Pamac --version

Pamac 10.3.0-2 - libpamac 11.2.0

Variant in use

GUI

Distribution

Manjaro

Desktop environment

KDE

What's not working

The app crashes and prints a "25965 segmentation fault (core dumped)" error to the console when searching for the term "qt creator" using the GUI. The same search runs fine from the command line.

How to reproduce?

  • Step 1: Open Pamac.
  • Step 2: Search for the term "qt creator".
  • Step 3: App crashes.

More information (optional)

  • Logs:
~ pamac-manager

(pamac-manager:25965): Gdk-CRITICAL **: 12:43:00.372: gdk_window_set_cursor: assertion 'GDK_IS_WINDOW (window)' failed
[1] 25965 segmentation fault (core dumped) pamac-manager

(I am aware that the correct package name in the repositories is 'qtcreator,' not 'qt creator,' but I'm filing this bug report regardless because the app probably shouldn't be crashing if the user happens to type a space when searching for a certain program.)

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
