[Pamac 8.0.3 (GTK)] Incorrect download size shown when listing available updates
System information:
- Computer: i5-6400 with NVIDIA GTX 970
- OS: Manjaro
- DE: Cinnamon
- Pamac: Pamac GTK 8.0.3 (package:
pamac-gtk
8.0.3-2)
Problem: When checking for available updates, Pamac GTK only shows the download size for the first few packages listed, not for all available updates.
Expected behavior: When checking for updates, Pamac GTK should how the total download size for every available updates, even if the list of available updates is not entirely loaded yet because the user has not scrolled down.
How to reproduce relatively quickly:
- Go on the Unstable branch;
- Wait a few days so you get a significant amount of updates to do (to make the comparison easier, wait for updates of relatively big packages such as
firefox
,thunderbird
,chromium
, Linux kernels, etc.; - Compare the "total download size" shown in Pamac with what is available in the list, it clearly doesn't add up.
Misc:
- The total download size shown when you initiate an upgrade seems to be perfectly fine and accurate.
- The total download size shown when you use
pamac update
orpamac upgrade
in a command-line interface seems to be perfectly fine and accurate. Attached screenshot shows a comparison between the total download size shown in CLI and the "total download size" shown in Pamac GTK.
