If the work is not worth then i suppose me remaining involved is not worth either.
Then making the sidebar scroll independently from the rest of the content might be a way to have better functionality. You can see here https://community.kodular.io/t/new-community-look/81535/80?u=yanquisalexander how they do it.
When accessing Latest or Unread topics, by default the sidebar will scroll to one point then reset to top position, while the content is scrolling to bottom, refreshing the list, so there is no way to access the bottom of the sidebar buttons, especially logged in forum members. Those that visit the forum without logging in will see a jumpy sidebar while scrolling trough Latest. Probably this is not an issue on a screen resolution above 1080p, but those with 1920x1080 screens will have to open a new tab, with a shorter topic list/comments to be able to access/scroll to the sidebar bottom buttons, or to collapse more than one sections of the sidebar. Not a big deal, but the default sidebar should bot be flooded with so many sections. While the Manjaro related link should be present in the forum, i think the way was previously, in the footer is better than on sidebar:
Right now the footer looks unbalanced visually. Empty space, or white space, as is called, is good, but now it turned into wasted space, plus the text contrast is not so great.
Regarding the question here #1 (comment 30149)
The bleeding color is towards yellow, not a manjaro green, and regardless the browser i use it creates a jagged gradient around the content.
We have around 8 nuances of green from 3 families of green:
This can be sorted out to work with greens from the same family, be related to each other.
Because of that effect with the background and whatever blur overlay thing is going on, some browsers render it different color in the main container #202020 color on the content is rendered #1c2327, and around it creates that bleed of jagged green ... is a different color, from different family. Now all the notifications are red while previously only flags or notifications related to moderation were red, the other were green. That "white" footer makes things even worse visually, it should remain dark, not have the foreground graphical elements white.
The light theme does not suffer from this sort of shift in colors nor the jagged bleed. Don't know what that circle and tilted square in the background are suppose to add visually to the table, but seem like a random choice, aleatory ... Still, the notifications should not be all red.
Other browsers are not capable to render properly the footer banner, so it looks broken ... the jaggedness is still present, but the color shift of #202020 color on the content to #1c2327 does not happen only in the sidebar bottom portion of the forum, while the container keeps the original color in comparison to what happens in my first screenshot ...
Last visit badge on the new posts looks like this
While last visit on topics comments look like this
That is another color shift.
The quote selection buttons remain dark on dark on mouse over.
