There is a typo in the URLs for Odroid C4 Plasma. Right now they are:
And they should be:
The AUR package owner has already requested a name change. I suppose it should not take long. So will Manjaro revert this name change when that happens?

Pamac 10.3.0-4 - libpamac 11.2.0-6
CLI
Manjaro
Not relevant in this case
In some of the dialogs of the CLI version, the "letter actions" offered by the application don't match the actual letters the program accepts. For example, in my Finnish system, if I want to build visual-studio-code-bin package I would run pamac build visual-studio-code-bin
that gives me this output:
Valmistellaan...
Kloonataan visual-studio-code-bin koontitiedostoja...
Luodaan visual-studio-code-bin tietoja...
Tarkistetaan visual-studio-code-bin riippuvuuksia...
Varoitus: visual-studio-code-bin-1.63.2-1 on ajan tasalla -- asennetaan uudelleen
Selvitetään riippuvuuksia...
Tarkistetaan pakettien välisiä ristiriitoja...
Käännettävät (1):
visual-studio-code-bin 1.63.2-1 AUR
Muokkaa koontitiedostoja : [e]
Hyväksy toimenpide ? [m/k/E]
The relevant part are the two last lines. The first of them ("Muokkaa koontitiedostoja") informs that we can edit the build files with "e" ([e]). It offers the "e" letter, even if in the next line is going to offer a different one. But the other line ("Hyväksy toimenpide?") asks me if I accept the action giving me three choices ([m/k/E]). The "m" stands for "muokata"/edit the file. The "k" stands for "Kyllä"/Yes and the "E" stands for "Ei"/No. But the accepted keyboard input doesn't match this format:
So there is a mix of english and finnish in the actions. I think this is not just a translation problem but also how the program interprets the input ("k" is interpreted correctly, but "m" isn't)
That would be nice. This behavior is the most annoying thing from pamac for me. I can understand the reasons to do it in the first place, but let more experienced users to use pamac more comfortably. I know what I'm doing and if for some reason I do something wrong I'm not going to complain to nobody.
I also have to say that I don't believe that default to no is going to save much trouble. Most of the people that doesn't know what are they doing are going to answer yes anyway.
Hi, thanks.
Just one thing, string 302: "Install %s from %s" seems to have been left behind.
Hi,
If I try to install base-devel group with pamac (pamac install base-devel
), it fails with a core dump.
In Fish I receive:
fish: Job 1, 'pamac install base-devel' terminated by signal SIGSEGV (Address boundary error)
And in ZSH I receive:
zsh: segmentation fault (core dumped) pamac install base-devel
It happens in my own system (Manjaro KDE) and in a just installed test system (Manjaro KDE minimal). So as far as I know, this command fails always.
Closing this issue. Error is in libpamac package: libpamac#5 (closed)
Finnish translation (po/fi.po
) has an error in lines 1350 and 1351:
msgstr[0] "Ryhmässä %s on %u jäsen"
msgstr[1] "Ryhmässä %s on %u jäsentä"
It should read:
msgstr[0] "Ryhmässä %2$s on %1$u jäsen"
msgstr[1] "Ryhmässä %2$s on %1$u jäsentä"
Reason: When reordering variables, a special format should be used.
This error causes a core dump when using these lines. For example: pamac install base-devel
Sorry for the delay, I didn't received any notification (I'm not sure I'm supposed to get any?).
I actually noticed the problem some weeks ago, but didn't had time to file the bug. I'm not sure what version was then. My system is up to date with version 10.2.0-1 (stable branch). I also tested in a fresh VM installed with 21.1.2. I think it's not related, but just in case, I use KDE in both my system and the VM. I also tested in different shells with same results.
As far as I know this should be a general problem, because the VM was not customized in any way. That command was the first one to be executed (I think I had to execute pacman -Sy
first, but I'm not sure now)
