Status bar shows wrong time[zone] while system time is correct

I used the configuration wizard to set my timezone (searched for 'London' and chose London UK).

I straightaway noticed that the time in the status bar was incorrect (showing UTC/GMT not daylight-saving BST (GMT+1).

I used 'sudo tzselect' and updated the system time to 'Europe/London'

Using 'date' from terminal now shows the correct date and time (see attached screenshot) but the status bar time remains incorrect.

UPDATE:

What I posted above was on a fully updated Alpha0 install. I've just flashed the 'official' Alpha1 release and while the behaviour is a bit different, it's still wrong!! This second screenshot explains.....
