Terminal uses only half of the screen after rotation
How to reproduce:
- in portrait mode: open terminal
- check that keyboard is shown
- rotate to landscape mode
- menu bar of terminal disappears
- swipe down on keyboard to hide it
- terminal uses only left half of the screen
- swipe up two times to show keyboard
- menu bar of terminal appears again, terminal still uses only half of the screen
Same behavior if you rotate from landscape to portrait (except that only top half of the screen is used).
If the keyboard is closed before the rotation, everything is fine.
Sometimes, the terminal uses only half of the screen also directly after rotating (before hiding the keyboard). In this case, the menu bar is still shown.
You can actually see how Plasma is first rotated and then scaled (both apps and the whole desktop).
How to mess up things even more:
- in landscape mode: open terminal
- check that keyboard is shown
- rotate to portrait mode
- menu bar of terminal disappears
- swipe down on keyboard to hide it
- terminal uses only top half of the screen
- click power button to lock screen
- click power button again and unlock
- terminal uses only top half of the screen, terminal menu bar is shown, below that a gap then keyboard
- swipe down on keyboard to hide it
- click "X" in bottom bar to close terminal
- lower half of screen is black, Plasma desktop (what's the correct wording here?) is shown only in upper half (believes that the phone is in landscape mode), bottom bar and top bar are shown correctly
- rotate to landscape mode
- everything recovers
This is probably the same infamous thing that sometimes happens with the lock screen. After reboot, I'm not able to reproduce the second description anymore.
