[AUR] RPC modification in aurweb will break search for updates on AUR packages in march 2022.
Pamac --version
Pamac 10.3.0-1 - libpamac 11.2.0-0
Since Aurweb went to version 6.0, old php code used to know if there is any update on AUR packages is deprecated and will be soon removed.
In this message - https://lists.archlinux.org/pipermail/aur-general/2022-February/036787.html - you can read:
With the v6.0.0 release, aurweb no longer uses PHP. Previously, the Wiki has shown
/rpc.php
being used to query the RPC, which did work and was completely valid. This was an oversight by me during the port. The wiki has since been updated to reflect the current RPC API, which hosts its documentation at https://aur.archlinux.org/rpc by providing no arguments.
And also:
Regarding
/rpc.php
, we will continue to support this for one month. At that time (Fri 4th, Mar 2022), we will remove support for that specific endpoint completely. This allows users to use their helpers to upgrade themselves.
So, the update code must be modified to be in sync with new aurweb code.
There is a lot of infos in this message too: https://lists.archlinux.org/pipermail/aur-general/2022-February/036786.html
