The `pamac list` does not handle combination of arguments
Pamac --version
Pamac 10.5.1-2 - libpamac 11.5.4-1
Variant in use
CLI
Distribution
Manjaro
Desktop environment
KDE Plasma
What's not working
The pamac list
does not respect combination of flags. For instance some examples that if they work, they can be very handy and useful to user:
listing installed packages from AUR:
pamac list --installed --repos "AUR"
listing orphaned packages from extra:
pamac list --orphans --repos "extra"
listing orphaned packages from extra:
pamac list --orphans --repos "extra"
listing packages that I have explicitly installed and are not in any repos anymore:
pamac list --explicitly-installed --foreign
None of the above generate error, nor in the manpage have been explained that their combination is wrong (although I don't see why their combination can be wrong as they can be very helpful).
Output of all commands above:
List packages, groups, repositories or files pamac list [options] options: --installed, -i : list installed packages --explicitly-installed, -e : list explicitly installed packages --orphans, -o : list packages that were installed as dependencies but are no longer required by any installed package --foreign, -m : list packages that were not found in the repositories --groups, -g [group(s)] : list all packages that are members of the given groups, if no group is given list all groups --repos, -r [repo(s)] : list all packages available in the given repos, if no repo is given list all repos --files, -f <package(s)> : list files owned by the given packages --quiet, -q : only print names
How to reproduce?
- Open terminal
- run any of the commands above
