Various minor bugs in Phosh alpha 4
Hi, i have a Pinephone PMOS Convergence Pack (3GB model) and i have recently changed the shipped operative system from PMOS to Manjaro Alpha 4. I have encountered some minor bugs, but first of all, let me say that Manjaro Phosh is amazing. Basically every function the phone have works. Very good job! So, i would like to signal some minor bugs that i have encountered, so that can be tracked and fixed in the future. Some of them are not related to Manjaro os itself, but to some applications. Unfortunately i'm not able to distinguish if the problem is caused by the app itself or the integration with system functions, so i will signal here anyway, then if you say they are not related to Manjaro, i will report the bug to the appropriate place. So:
- Camera bug (megapixels): the camera work, when i press the "photo" button, the image preview is showed correctly, but when i look for the saved image it is an artifact-like. It's a black screen with some vertical colored lines.
- Nemo bug: when touching any part of the background (where folder are placed), a rectangular selection begin, starting from the top left to the clicked point.
- Chatty with telegram-purple: i have enabled the account telegram for Chatty and work correctly when awaken, but when i turn off the display, no more notification sound is emitted.
- Chatty with telegram-purple: if groups are added, when a message is received, if you don't have an opened 1 to 1 chat with the person that write the message, no sender is displayed in group chat.
- Chatty with telegram-purple: images, videos and gif are not displayed, but only downloaded, providing instead a link to the internal libpurple download folder. Also telegram sticker are not displayed or replaced with an ascii artifact.
- gnome-control-center language settings: Changing the language settings in gnome control center does not make the system language change. Probably i can workaround this bug using locale-gen like any linux distro, but is unconfortable for who does not know how linux distro work.
This is what i found for now, let me say again that Manjaro Phosh work great on Pinephone.
Hope this helps,
Have a good day
