xterm set as the preferred $TERM even though it is not installed making some .desktop apps not run correctly.
Most notably htop
and other terminal based apps that come with a .desktop shortcut. Installing xterm doesn't help as there are some extra errors reported on the journal. A workaround I found that doesn't require modification of all the .desktop files is:
# ln -s /usr/bin/kgx /usr/bin/xterm
...which is pretty how-ya-doin'. Curiously enough, after installing gnome-terminal
it attempts to run these apps via that, but it fails for unrelated reasons. I'm not entirely sure how Phosh figures out which terminal emulator is available, but perhaps it would be possible to just add kgx
there?
