amdgpu - External displays connected through Thinkpad USB-C Dock not detected
External displays connected via DisplayPort to a Thinkpad USB-C Dock are always not detected. It works mostly but it may happen, that it does not work and when that happens a restart is required to fix it. I tried reloading the driver from runlevel 3 but so far that only crashes the whole system.
When it happens I see the following kernel message: [drm:dc_link_allocate_mst_payload [amdgpu]] *ERROR* Failure: pbn_per_slot==0 not allowed. Cannot continue, returning DC_UNSUPPORTED_VALUE.
This issue seems to be related to this Bug in Archlinux where it was reported that it is fixed. Was this patch also applied in the Manjaro Kernel for Version 6.1? If not could you please include it?
I´m running Kernel version 6.1.31-2-MANJARO
. I´m using a Thinkpad T14 AMD with such a Thinkpad USB-C Dock Gen 2 but the issue occurs also on a Dell Vostro AMD Notebook on that Dock.
Firmware Versions on Notebooks and Dock are up to date.
Thanks!
