urxvt-perls dependency

Manjaro-i3-settings appears to have a urxvt-perls dependency. I came across this while trying to install rxvt-unicode-truecolor-wide-glyphs, which I assume overruns the urxvt-perls package. Is it necessary to keep the latter package? According to its repo, it has been archived for upto 5 years now. It's a bit boggling that it is required by manjaro-i3-settings. Is there a utility that requires it during installation?

For now, I'm having to uninstall this package since I do need the urxvt package.
