Dualboot option sets boot flag on Linux root partition breaking windows updates (MBR)
I recently setup a Laptop with dual boot (Windows 10 + Manjaro) MBR. After I installed Manjaro using the parallel install option Windows Updates could not be applied anymore.
The boot flag needs to be stay the first windows partition (50 MB) (sda1) for windows to work properly.
This behavior is really unfortunate since the boot flag does not affect anything other than breaking windows updates if it is changed.
Steps to reproduce:
-
Install windows 10
-
Install Manjaro parallel to windows. (Select windows partition and resize to fit linux root).
-
Reboot to windows and start updates. You will end up in a boot circle of applying the updates and then reverting them again.
